'It's all about making the A (main)!' This sentence pretty much sums the life of a carpet racer. Or every racer out there. 'Carpet Racers - A Crash Course', a film by Michael Rooney and Jay Thames describes the fun and excitement, the high's and the low's of being a RC-car racer. It describes what is more than a hobby but a huge family. And as with every family, there are up's and down's, good days and bad days. If you are already into racing, you will love to see good friends again. See them laugh and see them cry. If you are a beginner, you will be fascinated by all of the aspects RC-car racing has to offer. For most of the racers out there RC-car racing is more than a hobby – it's a profession. And this is what you instantly feel after watching the first couple of scenes.

Those who think Carpet Racers is an action loaded arrangement of racing clips may be a little bit disappointed. Carpet Racers is much more than that. It's nearly a philosophical documentation. A testament to the love and sacrifice one has to show to be a RC-car racer. Despite to trot out the whole plot of the film, we can only do one thing: to recommend to buy this 83 minutes long DVD whether you are already a dedicated racer or a beginner to the RC game!

For more information please visit the film's website www.carpetracer.com for all other information and also to buy the DVD. If you are from Europe, you might also check www.rclazy.com, a small on-line shop of our friend Simon that stocks the Carpet Racers DVD.
